ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

The ASIST workshop is for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Over 750,000 caregivers have participated in this two-day, highly interactive, practical, practice-oriented workshop. Here's what participants have had to say:

During the course of the program, I realized that I had actually had opportunities in the past to be a suicide caregiver, that students I knew had made a cry for help. I was unable to recognize those cries at the time. I see now, thanks to my ASIST training, that those were cries for help from people who could very well have been suicidal. I won't miss the next cry for help, and I'll know how to respond when the cry is heard.
