| Key decision-makers within the organization and all trainer candidates have read the document called Essential Information for safeTALK Trainer Candidates. | |
| All trainer candidates meet eligibility requirements to become a safeTALK trainer as set out in Essential Information for safeTALK Trainer Candidates. | |
| All candidates are aware of and accept responsibility to complete the equivalent of a day and a half of pre-study prior to attending the T4T, to attend the full day of the T4T and to make available an additional two days of work after the T4T for preparing, presenting and reviewing their first three safeTALKs. | |
| The candidates have or the organization is providing access to the necessary computer equipment and technical support to be able to download and use the web-based resources, video clips and software essential to preparing for and presenting safeTALK. | |
| LivingWorks Education has been furnished with the names and accurate email contact information for all candidates four weeks prior to the T4T date. Where difficulties arise in email communications between the safeTALK instructor and the candidates, the organizer ensures the connection is made. | |
| All candidates have been informed of the start and end times of the onsite T4T as set out in the safeTALK One-Day T4T Overview and Schedule. | |
| All candidates have been informed of the location of the T4T. If this location must be changed, the instructor and all candidates must be informed at least two days before the T4T. If the change involves a considerable distance, even more notice is required. | |
| At least three weeks prior to the T4T, the instructor of the T4T will send the candidates an email package containing instructions for accessing and studying the pre-session study materials as well as the half of safeTALK they are to prepare to present at the T4T. | |
| Candidates need to receive the pre-session study package within three weeks of the T4T in order to adequately prepare for the T4T. All but two of the candidates must receive their materials within this time limit or LivingWorks will drop them from the roster. Up to two candidates may be changed within 12 days of starting the T4T. After 12 days, the roster is fixed. | |
| The equipment needs of the instructor are known and the equipment has been arranged. |
| The training room has been set up with tables and chairs in classroom style. Windows are covered to block excessive light that may obscure visibility of videos or slides. | |
| The instructor has access to the training room at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the T4T to set up and check equipment operation, and 45 minutes afterwards to discuss individual matters with candidates and pack up. | |
| All AV equipment is in good running order and a technician is available to help if needed. Powerful speakers, amplifier and a screen have been provided. If at all possible, the organizer has ensured internet connection is available. | |
| Nutritious refreshments and lunch are provided for candidates and instructor on or near the site (the lunch break is only 30 minutes). |
