LivingWorks trainer receives USSU Experience in Excellence Award

On March 30, 2004 Dave Biblow was presented with the Help Centre Award at the University of Saskatchewan for contributing to the continuing effort for the achievement of social justice.

The Help Centre Award recognizes University, of Saskatchewan faculty, staff, students and alumni who show leadership and courage in advancing the quality of life for those experiencing outstanding struggles. These struggles may involve, but are not limited to, sexual orientation, gender, ancestry, ability, poverty and/or violence.

Dave facilitates ASIST and suicideTALK at the Help Centre and had the opportunity to present suicideTALK as part of the National Conference in Saskatoon for all university Student Help Centres across Canada. He credits his award to the work he has been doing with the Student Help Centre in facilitating ASIST.

A note to LivingWorks from Dave: I want to share this award with LivingWorks as it is because of the work done at LivingWorks and the people at LivingWorks that I was given the opportunity to be able to do this. In addition I was also given the tools to be able to work with. For this I am grateful to be part of the LivingWorks Family and therefore want to share this award with all of you.
