safeTALK Training - English

safeTALK is a 3 ½ hour alertness workshop that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training; front line workers, clergy, volunteers, parents, youth, teachers, law enforcement...anyone who wants to become a suicide-alert helper.

Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive.

safeTALK trained helpers can recognize these initiations and take action by connecting the person with life-saving intervention resources, such as caregivers trained in ASIST.

Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Cost includes a resource book, wallet card, safeTALK stickers (2), certificate, brochure, community reference sheet.

CEU's available. This is not covered in the cost of the workshop. If you are interested in receiving a CEU, the presenter will be handing out information at the event.
